Projects Summary In Sierra Leone

SCHOOL SUPPLIES PROJECT - SIERRA LEONE 2024

This project would not have been a success without your generous donations. Your unwavering support and belief in doing good and creating meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable children in deprived communities in Sierra Leone are deeply appreciated.

While many express the desire to help, few actually take the steps to make a difference. Thank you for being one of the exceptional individuals who stepped forward with your contributions and support in various ways.

We were able to provide 100 backpacks to schoolchildren—50 backpacks to each school—alleviating some of the financial burdens on their families for the upcoming academic year. Your donations have already made a significant impact in the lives of these children, giving them the tools they need to thrive in their education.

From the bottom of our hearts, we say a heartfelt Thank You for your kindness and commitment to this cause.

SUMMARY

The Laya Community Primary School, founded in 2008 by dedicated community members, is a critical lifeline for education in Laya Village, Mosongbala Chiefdom, Kambia District (Northern Province, Sierra Leone). It serves children from several remote villages, many of whom walk 6 to 8 miles daily due to the absence of schools in their communities.

Despite its importance, the school faces severe challenges. Limited infrastructure forces Classes 1 and 2 to share one classroom, Classes 3 and 4 another, while Classes 5 and 6 meet in the staff room due to space constraints.

The current building—constructed from bamboo sticks and roofed with rusted zinc sheets—is unsafe and unfit, especially during the rainy season. Heavy rains often interrupt learning, forcing children to miss school and widening the education gap in these underserved areas.

Mizpah Organization is actively working with the community to change this reality. With your support, we can provide safe, functional classrooms and restore dignity to the learning experience.

SUMMARY

Mizpah Organization is the first humanitarian organization that preached their story to the world in the exact picture of compassion.

We want to help in making sure that these vulnerable kids have school supplies like school bags, notebooks, pens and Pencils, erasers, sharpeners, crayons, rain coats, socks and black shoes and everything else they need to succeed in school so they can succeed in life:

When children receive supplies that their parents/guarddians cannot afford, it makes them feel valued and it gives them a sense of pride and inspiration about their school work and education in general.

And  also we want to help build modern primary schools and creating a conducive learning environment for children in those communities mentioned above.

Join us today and lets be shepherds to these vulnerable children
